My life has been blessed with animals! ​

I have always been passionate about dogs and pets; I couldn't imagine life without them. Growing up, we had many pets, including cats, hamsters, rats, rabbits, birds, fish, and our two Shelties.
Our dogs were involved in obedience training, agility, flyball, and trained as therapy dogs. The dogs were always a part of our lives and were included in our family camping trips.

After high school, I became a Registered Veterinary Nurse / Technician. After almost 20 years, I knew it was time for a change, and I wanted to get outside!
​
So to continue my passion for animals, "The Cookie Club" was born in April 2024.

Pack Walks
Is your dog a social butterfly?
Pack walks are for dogs who love to socialize and explore the great outdoors. The packs comprise up to 6 dogs with similar energy levels and have previously been socialized. Each dog is given plenty of time to sniff around, explore, and, of course, do their business.

With a 4 Step Screenig Process
Step One:
The Meet & Greet
Each Dog goes through a Meet & Greet with me (Katie) and my own dog Cookie.
​
Cookie is non-confronting and gives me a great test subject for your dogs' reactions to other dogs. If your dog likes Cookie, that's step one complete.
Step Two:
Trail Walks with Cookie
Each Dog will get a trail walk with Cookie. This way, your dog can get to know me one-on-one, and I can learn your dog's behaviors and gain its trust.
Step Three:
Trail Walks with other dogs
Introducing your dog to a pack member to see their reaction and a trail walk.
Starting with one dog at a time each walk. Then, introduce another.
Step Four:
Full Pack Walks
Once your dog is comfortable with the other pack members. I will then start to increase the number of dogs on the walks

We initially met with Cookie and Katie in a low-key 'get to know you' moment which I appreciated from a dog-mom safety point of view. After that, Katie and Cookie have been regularly walking Dolly for months now. I like the pack walks as it helps to socialize Dolly without the crazy unpredictability of dog parks. Also, Dolly comes home from her walks, takes one lap around, and then plops down for an afternoon nap. It's amazing!! And Katie is very accommodating when bad weather hits, she always texts me to let me know what's the game plan.
I can't say enough positive things about Katie and her sidekick, Cookie. They are incredible!!

Our corgi Bagel has been part of the Cookie Club for the past 5 months. She loves going on walks with her friends in the pack. Katie is punctual, organized and is so attentive and caring to Bagel. I have complete trust in her to make sure Bagel has a fun and safe time on her walks. I would highly recommend Katie to anyone who is looking for a dog walker, she's amazing!

We responded to Katie’s poster when she first started the Cookie Club. We have a large four-year-old rescue dog, who can be sweet and lovely but, also can be a handful. With a traumatic past, he can sometimes react unpredictably to others, but Katie manages him with expertise. The Cookie Club is our first experience with a dog walker and we could not be happier. Katie is great with Buddy and is absolutely a professional in her business dealings. We take comfort in her veterinary experience and knowledge of dogs. Buddy always returns happy and tired after a walk with her.

I highly recommend Katie as a dog walker. She is exceptional in her care for all the dogs she walks. My two chihuahuas have gone through the four-step process with her, and they now walk well together in a pack. Katie reinforces good habits and behaviors during walks, and she regularly shares pictures and videos of their time together, showing just how much fun my dogs are having. When they hear Katie's voice in the videos, they get excited. Even after one of my dogs had surgery, Katie continued to take them both out, even carrying the recovering dog when needed. We also see Katie at many dog events with Cookie, and my dogs are always thrilled to see her.
